Our Two Night Weekend Wedding Package begins as you and your wedding party arrive to check in at Steel Horse Inn early Friday afternoon. From that moment, for the next 48 hours, the weekend is yours. Julie and Dave (owners of Steel Horse Inn) invite you to come stay and enjoy your Wedding Weekend the way you want to. After all, it's your Big Day!
Arrive Friday afternoon. Check in. Have your rehearsal & rehearsal dinner. Relax by the fire. Hit the sack for a good night's sleep.
Wake up refreshed. Today is the Day. Enjoy a good breakfast. Set up, then dress up. Guests arrive. Get married. Party down.

When we designed our Weekend Wedding Package, we wanted to make it something that provided most of what is essential for a successful wedding ceremony and reception. We understand how stressful it can be to plan a wedding, and our goal is to help relieve some of the stress so that you can instead concentrate on enjoying your weekend. Our Weekend Wedding Package includes the following items and features.

Deposit: $500 (Required to hold your date. Refundable up to 30 days.)
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Is there electric power in the Barn?
Yes. The Barn has power.
2. Can we hang additional lights in the Barn?
Yes. We only ask that you not hang any lights or decorations from the existing string lights.
3. Do you have any rules on decorations?
Yes. We only ask that whatever you put up, please take down again (no confetti or fake flower petals confetti please).
4. Are candles allowed as part of table decorations?
No. We do not allow any candles, or open flame of any kind, in or around the Barn. We recommend using battery-operated flicker light candles.
5. Who sets up the chairs and tables for the reception?
The chairs and tables for the reception are stacked in the barn. All set-up and take-down of chairs and tables is up to you. This is so that you can set everything up exactly the way you like. All chairs and tables need to be re-stacked by check out.
6. Do you rent table linens other than the table lines you provide?
No. We recommend ‘Settings Event Rental’ in Salida for table linens. (SettingEventRental.com)
7. Do we need someone to help park cars?
We highly recommend that you ask two or three people to help park cars as your guests arrive. This helps to efficiently park as many cars as possible.
8. Is there a time when the music should stop?
Yes. As a courtesy to our neighbors, we ask that the music portion of your reception end at 11pm.
9. Can we throw rice or birdseed after the ceremony or reception?
Yes. We only ask that whatever you use be natural and biodegradable (no confetti or fake flower petals confetti please).
10. Can we have our wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at the Inn?
Yes, of course. You are welcome to host your wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner here at the Inn during your Wedding Weekend.
11. What is your alcohol policy?
Steel Horse Inn does not provide or sell alcoholic beverages. However, you may hire a caterer, or bring your own alcoholic beverages to serve at your Wedding. If you bring your own alcoholic beverages, we highly recommend hiring a professional Bartender. Bartenders help to maintain a consistent flow of service, help to insure that minors are not served alcohol, and assist in the closing of the bar on time at the end of the night. It is recommended that alcoholic beverage service stop 30 minutes prior to the end of the reception. Steel Horse Inn asks you to please urge your guests to be responsible, and never drink and drive. For Bartenders, we recommend ‘Bash Cocktail Catering‘ (BashCocktailCatering.com).
12. Is smoking allowed on the property?
Yes. Smoking is allowed in designated smoking areas only. No smoking is allowed in any building please.
13. Who is responsible for clean up after the Wedding?
You are responsible for all clean up after the wedding. All decorations
14. Do you require Wedding Liability Insurance?
Yes. We do ask that you purchase Wedding Liability Insurance for your Wedding. Wedding Liability Insurance has become an event standard providing protection to the Bride & Groom themselves in the event an injury occurs during their Wedding. The Venue, Caterers, and Vendors all carry their own insurance. Today’s Brides & Grooms can now protect themselves with inexpensive Wedding Liability Insurance. The two insurance companies we recommend are WedSafe.com and WedSure.com.
15. Do you require a Deposit to hold our date?
Yes. Here’s how it works. Once you’ve decided on a date, and we have that date available, we ask for a $500 Deposit to book your date. This Deposit is refundable up to 30 days. After 30 days, the Deposit becomes a non-refundable commitment to your date.
16. Do you require a Damage Deposit?
Actually, the $500 Deposit to book your date becomes the Damage Deposit after your Wedding, and is refundable, in whole or in part, depending on the extent of any damage.
